“To say that the world feels different right now is an understatement. We’re finding ourselves at a peculiar moment in history: reckoning with years of racial inequality, while dealing with a global health crisis. The pandemic seems to have exacerbated and brought to light many social divides and injustices, forcing us to wake up and face reality...”- Leia Ruseva, EllisX: Why Startups Need Visibility And Why This Matters Now

It’s Finally Friday

Well, here we are once again dear readers. 2021 is still fresh, but there’s a familiarity to it that’s kinda rough, tough and uncomfortable. One supposes there’s rarely hard resets, but one thing’s for sure: If you’re able to hang tough and still see the silver linings with everything that’s happening right now, you’re awesome and you probably also deserve a break from work and worries.

Let’s gather around the watercooler and have some fun…

Michelle Wax’s Happiness Adventure

Fearless founder Michelle Wax is a well-traveled fearless founder. In 2019, she left Boston and began a cross-country roadtrip, visiting all 50 states and talking to more than 500 people in the (literal) pursuit of happiness.

Along the way, Michelle chronicled her journey in American Happiness, an independent documentary film. Through this lens, viewers can be a part of the journey, encountering how everyday Americans reach internal happiness, regardless of external circumstances.

“This has been a challenging year for everyone, and there’s no better time for us to talk about the habits that create happiness and fulfillment, regardless of the circumstances we can’t control…American Happiness is a true testament to how powerful your mind is in helping you create a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life. It’s important now more than ever to show
people how to achieve that level of happiness.”

-Michelle Wax

American Happiness will premiere virtually Thursday, February 25 at 7:30pm EST. There will be opportunities to share, discuss and connect throughout the screening. Tickets and extra access passes can be purchased at the Eventbrite
page. For more information on American Happiness, visit www.american-happiness.com.

Spirulina: Healthy SNACKing

“As a brand we are intent on engaging with our local network of food businesses. Our product is such that it can be enjoyed as part of a meal or on its own, so collaborations with yoghurt companies, smoothie stores and coffee shops is completely on the table… (pun intended!) We have benefitted from incredible support from Lauren Abda and her team at Branchfoods and as we continue to grow, look forward to engaging further with this incredible community.” — Ian Parkes: Co-Founder, SNACK

Snacking. We love to do it. Eating healthy…that’s a bit more challenging.

The growth of SNACK demonstrates: “Why not both?” in quite a clever way. Check the blog — feel free to binge.
