Monday: New Week, Who ‘Dis?

Hey there everyone! How was your weekend? If you feel comfy sharing, include anything and everything about it…err…family friendly of course, in the comments below.

In the best of times, Monday can be a bit rough and tough. That said — guess what else is tough? Your mindset. Guess who else is tough? That’s right: You.

Let’s dive right into some cool stuff.

Give A Founder A Connection and Watch What Happens Next

“On Friday, we checked in with our Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Techstars portfolio cos. to hear how they are managing through the COVID crisis. So impressed by these founders, their ability to stay focused, adapt and pivot, and with a pay-it-forward mentality.” — Danielle Cohn

Take a good, long look at those faces. Note the dedication, the motivation, the genuine grit and determination. Reminds me so much of the attitude Elise Caira, Founder of Sweat Fixx, spoke about several months ago at a District Hall Event. Grit — there’s something to be said about it, something really good, whenever the grit is as true blue as the individual who employs it.

Great work Founders — keep it up!

Erik Modahl: Wholesome Bro, Wholesome Brew

In the good old days, I met Erik in a situation just like this!

Now that’s a pivot ladies and gentlemen. There’s your proof of concept, there’s your proof of work, there’s Erik Modahl creating Impact with a capital I which is all kinds of ironic since he’s one of the most selfless individuals I’ve ever met.

My favourite part of the post: “All apparel was chosen with soft materials, quality embroidery and with comfort and flexibility in mind.”

This shows two things: The intention is there from everyone’s favourite Golden Gentlemen and — there will eventually come the day when all of us, COVID-free and feeling fine, are sipping Host’s wine in a WeWork somewhere having a grand old time.

David “Del” Delmar Senties Does It Again:

Delivering informative insights on an imperative topic — how do we respond to and ultimately attempt to derive something equitable and substantive from this crisis? How do we turn a sh**storm into an opportunity for authentic impact? Del breaks it down for us.

Now…We Laugh (and maybe cry a little)
