Greetings and good afternoon everyone. We hope those who celebrated the long 4th of July weekend had a fantastic time, and here we are midweek once again with another edition of The Watercooler.

This time around I want to turn your attention toward a couple of recent event-related news as part of Prepare 4 VC’s Clubhouse presence. The first, “Entrepreneurship Overrated?” was actually the theme of our usual Tuesday session. We’ll next examine a new series, “Founder Think Tank” which has a simple concept at its core but has been consistently offering an adventure to attendees.

I’ll wrap things up with an overview of what to expect on Friday from this side. Let’s venture forward!

Entrepreneurship Overrated: What’s That All About?

One of the great things about Clubhouse is the randomness.

There’s always that chance of a stumble-upon..whether it’s a topic or a connection.

In my case the connection was Rodrigo Alberto Báez Avila and the topic was one of several covered by his intimate club rooms this past weekend.

Here are a few equally random takeaways…

Entrepreneurship and startup life can appear interchangeable, but there’s a lot more nuance that may need to be explored in the future.

The startup world is more than just the founders, as Jason Kraus brought up in our room: “There are so many different sides to startup life, and so many ways where we can take an active role in things.”

Our community is the way it is not simply due to one segment of the population…it’s an ecosystem that thrives from all the specialists in their industries who provide support.

We’re also taking a much closer look at the physical and psychological toll the startup life can take on all of us.

What are we doing to manage our time, to conserve our energy, to take care of ourselves?

…Perhaps the more we examine things from a critical perspective, the more progress can be made towards approaching balance and the imperative elements of accessibility and inclusion.

Founder Think Tank

The concept behind this newest Clubhouse offering of ours is simple: The free and open exchange of ideas.

Topics vary, special guests are very often in attendance lending their thoughtful expertise on everything from startup philosophy to technical support, strategy and enabling connections.

We concluded our second session today and I’m looking forward to next week.

In Closing

Join us on Friday for our weekly wrapup and a preview of next week’s fun!
